Born in 1984 in Ottawa, Canada, Chloé is a natural born artist. As a child, she would draw and paint on the walls because the sheets of paper were too small for her creative ambition. The world around her is endlessly fascinating. She picks up and collects all sorts of thingumabobs and finds a hidden nature to everything; a twisted branch is a dragon wand, the feather a fey’s walking stick, mother of pearl becomes the back side of a face…

Encouraged on that path from the beginning by her parents, she enrolls in a specialized art program in high school and then in Visual Arts in Lionel-Groulx College. Long in search of her way, life will finally lead her where she belongs: Espace Verre glass school in Montreal. Three years later, in 2012, she comes out forever changed by the material she perceives as “a woman. A living, breathing, conscious matter that is both capricious and malicious, sweet and mean, sensual and brutal and with whom you have to communicate and use diplomacy to get anywhere.” It is the many dualities intrinsic in glass that enchant her and makes it the prime material she works with in her creations from then on.
She is hungry for all crafts. Throughout the years, she will learn to sew, knit, paint, draw, sculpt wood and clay, work with metal and of course, glass. Her deepest wish is to know the ways of every material so as to never be stalled in the expression of her art ever again.
